Apologies to Pensburgh users who stopped by for the last thread. Things were a bit quiet around here because of the late start and probably will be the same for tonight. We'll definitely have things up and running again for Saturday's game and from hereon in, but if you'd like to park it here for the game then I'd love to have ya. If not, hope to see you back for Saturday and beyond.
On a more depressing note, the Penguins are ranked 23rd in the league offensively. Can we say, turnaround?
Gill is doubtful tonight, and Dupuis left practice yesterday afternoon with an undisclosed injury. Apparently it's serious enough to warrant a Chris Minard call up. Hopefully it's not serious enough that is takes Dupuis out of the lineup for long. He's been a real grinder out there.
Talbot is a scratch, as he continues to hobble around with foot problems.

This playing catch thing on the 5-3 is nice, but it’s a squandered chance if you don’t SHOOT THE PUCK!

Here’s what I don’t understand, on offense we only technically lost Malone, right? We didn’t have Hossa till what? February? Indeed, where is the offense?
seriously! What in the world was that with the 5-3? pass-pass-pass..maybe shoot! nope pass, pass, pass. Come on, guys. The irritating part is we know how well they can do. Maybe it’s a halloween thing this month…definitely scary.

Oh well, it’s October…I bet thanksgiving will get the pens fired up. For some reason they wake up when the holidays start.
Is Phoenix like San Jose where they won’t fly out until tomorrow? Or are they leaving tonight? I’m curious if they’ll get practice time.

Pens site is claiming it’s his ribs
"Crosby was hit by a stick from a Phoenix player early in the third.
The Penguins had no immediate word on the nature of his injury, but Fox Sports Arizona broadcasters reported Crosby would have X-ray examinations on his ribs before the Penguins departed for St. Louis, where their four-game road trip continues Saturday"
