Flyers scouting report available here.
Dany Briere is out, as mentioned in the report. For the Pens, Rob Scuderi will be a game-time decision. Happy to see no broken/fractured/ruptured anything from that shot block on Tuesday night.
If Scuds can't play then be prepared to see Paul Bissonnette on the blue line. He's had some experience on defense in the past and just might make the move tonight if needed.

I think the Canadiens forum administrators are turtled up in their bunker as I am still not allowed in. Do you think that Philly vs. Pens, being from the same state, is hyped as much as the battle of Alberta. I really don’t get much coverage of anything eastern. For example, listening to the sports news on my way home tonight and they don’t even mention Pens/Philly as a game being played tonight.
Oh man, this is one of the biggest rivalries in the East. Last season there was a game between the Pens and Flyers were they recorded a combined 100+ in penalty minutes. It’s since tapered down, after the Pens ousted the Flyboys from the Conference Finals last season, but there is always at least one scrap that busts out on the ice.

hey just an FYI, if you hit “reply” under the post you’re replying to it will list it under it. Allows for your eye to follow the one convo while you can easily start another one with a new comment.

I like the new widget at the top with the realtime score. Also – Angela, do you need a feed? cause I have a pretty good one.
There’s a bunch of new things on the site. I’m going to put up a post about it today, but you can check out some of the stuff now:

Er, marke that “post about it tomorrow.” didn’t want it to get lost in all of the game stuff tonight.

Cool – thanks! I’ll leave the link for the feed here – http://atdhe.net/live-tv-419.html
I can’t stick around for the game (big, scary essay about Shakespeare waiting for me) but have a good night all.
To die…To sleep…NO MORE
Sad that my best Shakespeare quote is from Billy Madison

Matt Cooke. That was a cakewalk into the zone and a bullet past Biron. It begins…

I guess with Brodeur out for 3 months we can start using that one as well. I can get used to that.

It was just a matter of time. The guy has been grinding out there since the start of the season.

So how about that last game Frank….unbelievable. My house was in an uproar after each goal in the 3rd. Good to see Staal w his 2nd hatty. He had a hell of a game!
Oh man you have no idea. I was losing it that night. Best game of the year so far, which isn’t saying much since we’re barely 20 games in but I’m sure it will stand out even at the end of the year.

Circle Feb 8 – that’s the next time the two come together. I think it was pretty good even for non-Pens/Wings fans. People were talking about it on message boards and other sites yesterday. Pretty intense

Howdy and welcome. With Biron in net there should be plenty more.

I was hoping his spinorama the other night on Osgood ended up in a goal. That would’ve been highlight reel for months.

Man, you wouldn’t even know this was a power play the way it’s going.

Solid 1st for the boys tonight. I bet that W they got the other night might have something to do with it. Not to mention Flyers are pretty much garbage so far this season.
Any period that ends with a Penguins lead is a good one. Flyers = garbage. You’ll never get anywhere with a career backup between the pipes full time.

I’m too emotional for hockey these days. That ‘Great Day for Hockey’ commercial brings tears to my eyes. I’m switching sports, maybe figure skating or something.
I thought it was just me. And frankly I was a little hesitant to say it, being a dude and all…

i love the end with the kids piling on each other. damn near brings a tear to my eye TOO!!

I like the white out shot from the crowd. Where everyone just erupts during Sid’s goal
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
No doubt. Great way to get to the bench. If only everyone would follow that script.

Backhands are killing Biron tonight. Keep it up.
(Good thing I kept him benched in fantasy hockey tonight too ;-))

Haha are you guys hearing the on-ice audio? Just heard someone screw up and say to themselves, “F___ me”
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
I missed that. It’s on the FSN broadcast?
On a related note, I’m not sure how I feel about this God of Thunder business. Thor is the god of thunder, the guy’s name is Goddard. I’m sure there’s a better pun to be had.
Yeah FSN. And I agree with the name. I just prefer to call him God.

I should stop watching, they always give me a heart attack when I do. Either that or my watching makes them suck…
that we do. Godard vs whoever wants to sacrifice their face
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
That was BS. He came between the player and the puck and Talbot had the space in front of him. Come on.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Timmonen vs. Godard now that he’s going to try and smack Sid around like that.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
D-man should’ve slid, taken away the pass and forced the shot to Fleury’s blocker side.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
So basically they’ve decided to breakdown in the second period rather than the third. I get it.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
I want to see blood in the third. Sweat. I want to see red lights. This is ridiculous.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Richards isn’t much a fighter, and the Flyers will probably have an issue with Talbot going after him. So I think Asham and Godard may have to settle things down for both benches. A Godard win might actually spark up the team a bit,
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Not you. He kinda gave up on that Gagne breakaway I thought.

Probably for the best right now. Let’s just hope Sabu isn’t rusty.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Look, it’s the Pens. We don’t really have to worry about not getting a point. They’re sent so many games to OT this year that there is no room for concern. However last season they blasted the hell out of Sabu. So here’s to hoping he can keep it locked down tonight.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Not to sound like a homer, but the Flyers are really getting away with some calls tonight.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Sabu’s gotta keep this close. With the way the Flyers’ D is workin it right now the Pens are really going to need a solid effort to get a goal.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Heavy hitters have to step up when that happens. Let’s hope he’s pissed and fired up on this PP.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Come on, where are the enforcers tonight.. You can’t let another team take out Malkin like that.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
precisely! playing like total garbage tonight….

How come the Pens always get nailed for bench penalties but the Flyers skate away with them?
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
That didn’t come together as planned, but it worked out better than they could’ve expected.

Why pour? Drink from bottle and angle upwards so you can both drink and watch.
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com
Normally I would, but this is a homebrew that is supposed to be poured first.

I probably lost a couple years off my life after this game

Wow!
2 games in a row the Pens could have EASILY lost and they came back and won them both.
Nice goal by Goli
Go 'Stros!
All things considered, two games in a row they could have easily won too :-\
