NOTES

Get your SPG picks in for a chance to win a Penguins wall clock courtesy of Carrolls Cove.

Looks like Dupuis will be skating down on the fourth line with Ziggy and Godard.  On paper that looks like a solid line.  Let's hope it holds on the ice.

I wanna see the Fedotenko/Malkin/Sykora line really click tonight.  Everyone knows what the first line can do, but let's see some life from Line Two as well.

Ryan Miller is 2-4-2 against the Penguins in his career.

Pittsburgh has won their last four meetings against Buffalo.

I don’t get why they used Teenage Wasteland as the song but I liked the video intro.

I watched it on mute because I was listening to Jackson Browne and I didn’t want to turn it off. It didn’t go well with Jackson Browne’s acoustic album either.

haha Well, maybe we can sample a few different songs over the video when I find it online tomorrow

I like these blue uniforms. Although they aren’t quite as nice without the falling snow.

by Dayna on Nov 15, 2008 7:43 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I agree. I’m a fan. But the least Mellon Arena could’ve done was drop some artificial snow from the rafters.

Maybe they’ll tire themselves out. We can always hope. The Pens haven’t been handling the puck great in their own zone or the neutral zone.

by Dayna on Nov 15, 2008 7:49 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Let’s hope the PP is 150x better than Thursday. ie: no shorthanded goals

by Dayna on Nov 15, 2008 7:52 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, unfortunately our PP was our worst enemy last game

Very boring first period here. All things considered it should be 2 or 3-0 Buffalo

Alright. Let’s come out of the gate strong in the second. Gotta get some life into this game.

That PP looked better than the first one. How about a goal of the faceoff to start the second?

by Dayna on Nov 15, 2008 8:12 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Right from center ice? I’m all for it.

or maybe a little carry-in with some sweet off the ice puck handling and then sweet shot from just inside the blueline

by AngelaMc on Nov 15, 2008 8:15 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Or better yet, Fleury and Miller just shoot at each other while the other guys stand by the bench and watch.

awesome, Flower a little skinny though, how much power would he have? What was the name of goalie who actually had curve in his stick cuz he would whip it down ice so much?

by AngelaMc on Nov 15, 2008 8:23 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I don’t know – Hextall was pretty good at it, Marty Brodeur too. But Fleury has taken a few chances at an open net and I wouldn’t be surprised if he nets one eventually.

You can make him your pick in effort to win the clock. If he gets it you’ll be sure to be the only one who gets the point.

by Dayna on Nov 15, 2008 8:26 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I think it was Hextall, bad memory for names. Hey Dayna, your paper go ok, all done and can relax for weekend?

by AngelaMc on Nov 15, 2008 8:28 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Unfortunately not. Today I went through the usual, “I hate everything I wrote and am starting over” phase – which was fun. It was pushed back from Wednesday to Friday though – so I have time.

by Dayna on Nov 15, 2008 8:31 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I hate that phase. Unfortunately I get that feeling after I finish a story for a paper or post to a website. Oh well…

This was a particularly bad case – I really started over, right down to changing the poems I’m working with. Usually I erase a paragraph or two, but this time I really went back to square one. It’ll come together though, they always do.
