Janne Pesonen back with the Penguins tonight, as Max Talbot is out with an injury. That left foot is giving him hell.
Dany Sabourin listed as the starter. Let's hope it's a stronger start than Wednesday's disappointment.

All right, let’s get this thing rolling. Come on Pesonen, give us a goal tonight and show us what it’s all about.

Refresh my memory, Pesonen has been up already this year, hasn’t he?
by AngelaMc on Nov 28, 2008 7:41 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah they called him up with Minard the last time when Dupuis, Fedotenko and Crosby were all banged up from pucks in practice. Neither of them did anything and they were sent back down.

All right, that should’ve been a penalty shot. Blatant breakaway with a penalty that obstructed the shot.

Personally I think they should go with a “last year’s PP line” and a “this year.” Sykora, Malkin, Dupuis, Letang and Scuderi on one line. Then second line, Satan, Fedotenko, Staal, Goligoski and Boucher.

Obviously I threw Scuderi in there in place of Gonch and Whit, but you get the idea. I’d even opt to see Kennedy out there.

Pickin’ up what you are layin’ down. Why wouldn’t MT have tried that already?
by AngelaMc on Nov 28, 2008 8:20 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Shrugs. Who knows? Give him time. The odds will eventually work out to a point where MT will have tried every possible combo known to man. And then he’ll call up guys from the minors to try new things.

I’ve said it before, if it ain’t broke dont fix it, could have been his first choice to go with what worked last year, was a good year.

My cousin once told me that on questionable hits you go down and try to bite your lip to draw blood and a longer penalty.

Hey Frank, what is the deal with Eaton? He must be unhappy sittin’, why can’t they send him somewhere he can play?
by AngelaMc on Nov 28, 2008 9:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
No clue. There’s a chance he’s still shaking off a blocked shot or two. I remember he limped off the ice a few games ago, so maybe he’s still messed up from it.

He is not really listed as injured, or even day to day, is he not listed as healthy scratch most games?
by AngelaMc on Nov 28, 2008 9:35 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah he’s been scratched for the past few. And I’m a bit surprised Fedotenko was scratched tonight as well. Eaton is the healthy 7th d-man. I guess MT has been stocking up with more forwards per game since defense is clearly not our forte this season.
