Pens Blog calls for mass Ovechkin vote

At 9pm tonight the Pens Blog has asked everyone to step up and vote Alex Ovechkin in as a starter for the ASG 10 times. Why you ask? Well because it's pretty much a shared perception by all teams other than the Habs that an AO, Crosby and Geno line would be better than anything the Canadiens can think of in their 100 years of existence.

Go online or text "Ovechkin" to 81812.

It would be...

a travesty if OV is not a starter at the All Star Game. We can argue all day about who the best is, but there is no doubt in my mind that the only acceptable answers are Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin.

I hate to say it, but can the fans voting for Gonch and Whitney please stop. It makes us look almost as bad as the Habs fans.

I’m with ya. I suggested Letang and GoGo as write-ins for that same reason.

I’ve been voting for Chara and Writing in Orpik every once in a while and sometimes I vote for Timmonen.

I think they are getting the votes through the texting thing, because if you text the 81812? thing and write ‘pens’ it will cast a vote for each pens player on ballot, I hope pens fans aren’t actually selecting them when they are doing it on the computer. Oh, and I did notice that the annoying commercials on the Pens site are promting people to text and write in Pens.
