The Thursday-Saturday Trend
I was looking at the Pens game schedule today and I noticed that the Pens have a love relationship with Thursdays.
I am sure I was not the first to notice this love. The only wins for the Penguins so far this month have been on Thursdays. Also, every game they played on a Thursday in November got them two points.
I also noticed that they have yet to win on a Saturday this month.
Let's hope that they break the trend of only winning on Thursdays this month when they face the Leafs tonight!
I also noticed that the last time the Pens played the Leafs it was a 4-1 W on a Saturday. Every game they play against the Leafs this season will be on a Saturday. I am all for them starting a new trend of beating the Leafs on Saturdays. Who am I kidding? I just hope that the Pens continue their old trend of dominating the Leafs at the Igloo(40-29-7)!
You may be thinking that I have too much time on my hands. You may be right!
GO PENS!!

Wow Jenn…that’s some pretty awesome analysis. Too much time? Perhaps, but I definitely have to give you props for this one.
That Thursday thing really boggles my mind…

Thanks Frank…too bad the Saturday losing trend in December wasn’t broken.

Well we have one more shot against the Habs next weekend. They pulled off a dramatic win tonight but maybe we can teach ’em a lesson post-Christmas. Although, once again, the Pens will skate into that one after playing in NJ the night before. The good ol back-to-back strikes again.
