Pre-game notes: Jordan Staal and Sidney Crosby set for milestones

Stay connected for news and updates

Hal Gill returns to the lineup tonight and the Penguins plan to dress seven defensemen.  Alex Goligoski will pull double duty on both D and forward, something you may remember Therrien doing in the past with Brooks Orpik and Daryl Sydor.

Tonight marks Jordan Staal 200th game, making him the youngest player in NHL history to make the mark.

On a similar note, tonight is also Sidney Crosby's 250th game.  Heading into the game Sid has amassed 343 points through 249 games for an average of nearly 1.4 points per game.

In comparison, Mario Lemieux had 423 points after 250 games, Wayne Gretzky 537 (sick).
