Tales of the Tape: Boston Bruins 12-30-08, Tim Wallace vs. Milan Lucic
Tim Wallace isn't a name I'm familiar with, I'll admit it. When I saw his name on the penalty list for fighting, I wasn't expecting much. I especially wasn't expecting a hell of a fight against Boston's Milan Lucic. Just watch the brawl.
There's not a lot to add to this one with commentary other than 'they punched a lot'. Wallace took quite a few shots from Lucic and stayed on his skates, still swinging away, and for that you have to give the kid credit (I am automatically forced to call anyone younger than me 'kid' - Wallace is 24). The shots were fierce, and Wallace stayed with Lucic for a good brawl.

Wallace is a rook who I’m really confident is making a legitimate run for a full-time spot with the club. If he’s going to step up to a certified NHLer for a fight in hopes of at least sparking some life into the Pens than I’m going to give him props for his effort. Doing stuff like this only helps his status with the team.
