about that centerice delay...
this is from the ottawa sun. Not quite sure what the event was. Curling, perhaps?
The CBC opted to delay the start of the Senators-Pittsburgh Penguins broadcast because the semi-final of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts between Manitoba's Jennifer Jones and Ontario's Sherry Middaugh went into extra ends. Jones beat Middaugh in the 11th end and then the CBC switched to the Pittsburgh-Ottawa feed. The broadcast of the Senators game was joined in progress with approximately 9:30 left in the first period.
And what's up with Ruutu?
He didn't hit anyone's knee this time. And he didn't hurt anyone after the play. Seriously, how many times has this guy been kicked from a game?
