Tales of the Tape: vs. Carolina Hurricanes 2/2/08
Perhaps you recall almost two years ago when Brooks Orpik hit the Hurricanes' Erik Cole from behind and sent him headfirst into the boards, breaking his neck. Well, the two finally met and dropped their gloves - and the result? Not what you'd think.
The fight was quite lackluster as it broke out 4:40 into the 1st period. Lot of dancing, before Orpik got the jersey over Cole's head and scored a shot to the midsection just as the linesmen came in to break it up.
Because of those two things, I'm giving this one to Orpik. Anything beats nothing right?
I apologize that the video clip is from the stands. For some reason, no one seems to have footage from the game. Ignore the intro and the music. If you really want some entertainment, click on the video to go to YouTube and read the wonderfully intelligent comments. Ha!

The music
and intro buildup didn't have much of a payoff. That was a pretty weak fight, but definitely a long time coming.
Thanks again for another solid installment. My center ice crapped out on me and I failed to see the first period. Yet when listening online and checking the stat sheet I read and heard that this fight had gone, but still failed to see. I think you definitely solidified your role here when I thought to myself "No worries, Dunman will have it covered."
In other words - I was blind, but because of Dunman, now I see. hah
Thanks again man.
