Penguins vs Panthers Open Thread

Pittsburgh Penguins (38-23-7) vs Florida Panthers (30-31-8)
In Florida at 7:30pm
Watch on FSN/Center Ice or listen online at WXDX.com
NOTES
Don't laugh - they've given the Pens some trouble this year.
Considering they dropped a 2-0 lead to a 3-2 loss in the last meeting, The Panthers will be out for blood tonight.
Ryan Malone has Vokoun's number - hence why we might see backup netminder Craig Anderson in net.
Anderson has stopped 93 consecutive shots in two straight shutouts.
No word on whether we'll see MAF or TC in net tonight.
Regardless of the case, hopefully we'll see a win.
A win tonight would be huge, putting the Pens up three points over the Devils.

Completely unrelated but I had a letter to the editors of The Hockey News printed in the most recent issue. THe funniest thing is, they printed my letter word-for-word but credited someone else. haha My name isn't even on it.

yeah
I read he may be back with 4-5 games left in the regular season, but his real return will have the biggest impact in the playoffs. Let's hope so - tey could really use the extra muscle.
they
sure could. although it wasnt that good, i was suprised to see laraque throw down tonight.

they
need to get their crap together with faceoff wins. Shots on goal wouldnt be bad either. They seem to have problems with both often. I mean they manage to win games, but they'll have to tighten up for the playoffs.

The defense
also needs to tighten up a bit. I think they've become accustomed to playing with COnklin and his ability to scoop up rebounds. Fleury doesn't play that way - they just need to adapt.
I have
the Florida feed tonight. The announcers just said they don't thnk Sid is ready to be back yet bsed on his play.
not
sure if it was deflected or not but Whitney shoulda had a goal on that PP.
