Penguins vs Rangers - Round 2, Game 3

Game 3
In New Yawk at 7pm
Penguins lead series 2-0
Watch on FSN, MSG, Yahoo! or listen live on WXDX.com.

NOTES
Gary Roberts is back.
Penguins went 0-3-1 on Rangers ice during regular season?  That means nothing.
This is a must win game for the Rangers and the Penguins know it, so expect tempers to be flared up for this one.

If this game ends 1-0 we're on course for a very slow and painful night.

Great game

so far.

Good to see Georges Laraque get one in the playoffs.  Also, Tyler Kennedy is so underrated, he's been fantastic lately.

haha

oh yeah, Laraque was stoked.  And I agree.  Kennedy has been all over the ice in every game.  His forecheck has been amazing.

You know what I was just thinking?
How great would it be if the Penguins sweep the Rangers and win game 4 in NYC.  Then after the handshake they stand at center ice and lift their sticks into the air a la the Rangers.

Oh man, I'd love it.

wtf

That was a crazy period.  The PK and PP looked amazing though.  2 goals, not so good.

I'm still waiting for my Staal goal though (hopefully it comes from the right brother tonight, Marc had a few nice chances earlier).

Staal

still has as good a chance as any if Marc doesn't kill him first.

I'm betting their parents

wish they hadn't stayed home in Thunder Bay for this series, we had a big snowstorm on Saturday around here (not that I was here for it, but I'm looking at the remenants).

Too many penalties this period, if you give up 5 on 3 chances you're bound to give up a goal sooner or later.

by Dayna on Apr 29, 2008 8:59 PM EDT up reply actions

True

but the fact New York didn't convert on those 5 on 3 attempts really cuts into the morale.  Granted they came back and scored two quick ones, but deep down they're thinking their power play sucks.

Funny you got snow up there.  I was just down by the beach earlier today.

Rightly so,

their power play does suck tonight.
