Negotiation Update
I found the aforementioned article very interesting. Here is a short summary:
Malkin: Negotiations begin July 1 (obviously), he won't be traded anywhere. [He has one year left in Pittsburgh if they cannot come to a consensus this summer.]
MAF: No phone calls back from his reps. Thefore, he is in "serious discussions" with Pens management.
J. Staal: Negotiations begin July 1. Pens want to ink long-term deal, but Staal may want to test free agency at the end of next season. [He has one year left in Pittsburgh if they cannot come to a consensus this summer.]
Hossa: Reps did not return any phone calls. Therefore he could currently be negotiating with management.

Personally, I think it might be in Staal’s best interest to wait one more season. While his defensive play and penalty-kill prowess were supreme, his offensive production was slightly lower than expectations. He did provide some key goals in the playoffs, but was nearly invisible during the Finals. MAF has a lot of negotiating ground to work with, Malkin isn’t going anywhere and Hossa is – Hossa.

Update of Fleury
Team filed for arbitration today.
Basically, Pitt has until the end of August and all summer long to negotiate with MAF is the arbitration is approved.
