Pittsburgh sent down 11 players earlier this week that needed to clear waivers before playing in the AHL, but none of them was claimed before a noon deadline.

Ten of those players – forwards Connor James, Ryan Stone, Jonathan Filewich, Chris Minard and Dave Gove and defensemen Danny Richmond, T.J. Kemp, Deryk Engelland and Joey Mormina – skated in practice Monday.

The other, center Kris Beech, has yet to arrive in Wilkes-Barre. Coach Dan Bylsma said he had no update on when or if Beech planned to report.

T.J. Kemp strikes me as the only guy who may get picked up by someone looking to take on a younger defenseman. Other than that, the rest of them will serve time in WBS again and Kris Beech will most likely call it quits. He’s a complete dud, a draft bust and is most likely lost down the same well as former Thrasher and first overall pick Patrik Stefan.

Sweet!

Very happy these guys made it through waivers. Also we should just cut ties with Beech all together. He sucks. The Pens have a very good farm team. Which is crtitcal for a championship caliber team. We don’t need top prospects just solid 4th & 3rd liners who can step up.

Agree SCK. I’m sure they’re disappointed they didn’t get picked up, but keeping them in action down at WBS is exactly what the Pens need most.
