Penguins 2009 Resolutions
It's 2009, folks. We've all shook off our hangovers from last night and can now look clearly into the new year. Our beloved Pens are starting the year 19-14-4, sitting fourth in the Atlantic, but still hanging in the middle of the Eastern Conference.
So what resolutions would you make for our flightless birds? I have a couple - feel free to add your own.
- Robotic joints replacing often-injured ones.
- Remind all players that it is still a good thing to score on the power play.
- Miracle cure that will bring Mario Lemieux back to the ice and keep him there...forever.
- And of course - the Cup.
So what have you got?

I’m all for invisible shields behind Fleury and Sabourin.
A PP unit that converts on at least 20% of chances
A clone of Evgeni Malkin, known to all as Genive Lakmin
And yes – the Cup would be nice too

Hmmm…A team that can get the puck out of their own friggin’ end—WHEN THEY ARE ON THE FRIGGIN’ POWER PLAY
Perhaps two extra attackers on the PP? Can they possibly prevent a shorty when skating 7-on-4?

STOP MISSING THE NET!!!!
And I am pointing at Staal first and foremost on this list… I wish they had a stat for shots taken that went wide… I’d put money on it that Jordan Stall would be in the top 5 of the league and that the Pens would be one of the highest ranked teams in this category…
Maybe they need some accuracy drills in practice, because they miss the net way too much.
