In case you missed it during the preview, tonight's game pins brother again brother. No, there's not some long lost Staal brother playing on the Avalanche. Actually, Pensburgh's own JDunman and Mile High Hockey's Joe will duke it out for their parents' love.

Remember when Ruslan Fedotenko rocked Colby Armstrong last week? Well now he is out 4-6 weeks with a broken hand.
Marc-Andre Fleury Dany Sabouin gets the start for Pitt, Andrew "Redlight" Raycroft for Colorado.
Hal Gill a scratch again. He's playing, Goligoski is a scratch
Lines looking like the same combos from Nashville, but as anyone knows that means absolutely nothing by the middle of the first period.

Well so far the Pens PP has been better than our PK…we looked for 1:40. We still have a problem finishing things.

Ah, well I’m not sure. I know a bunch of them were altered after the lockout. Baseball just included the replay this past season the the NFL changed three rules regarding out of bounds and such. Little things though. Not something that drastically changes the game.

ah, I think they did some changes a few years before the lock-out as well. It just seems often(?) for a game that has been around so long.

I kinda hate that rule. If the goalie wants to risk playing the puck there then why can’t he?

I had no idea how the heck they determined it in a call until I went to a game and saw the lines on the ice.
Even that I think was a bit changed because I think it first started where the goalie’s skate couldn’t even be in that area when controlling the puck. Now, I believe, his skates can be there but the puck can’t.

I just saw something at the end of the period as the teams were filing into their respective tunnels that really made me sick: Crosby, just sitting there with his head down on the bench. That is not the kind of leadership this team needs right now. I don’t care if he did just come off the ice, he should be standing there, waiting to go in, or off to the side encouraging the guys as they go in the tunnel. What kind of horse shit is this where he just sits on the bench looking at his skates? I expect better from him and from any captain.

Tucker’s hair is awesome winging out of his helmet, Talbot’s tempertantrum was too funny, I would be sad if my team name were The Nuggets, Nuggets? McD’s ruined that word, and lastly i’m more confused on the trapezoid rule than I was, I don’t want an explanation, I do not care enough but would laugh my ass off if it was called in the third.
I’m listening to the Pens radio – it sounds like they said “the Ass” instead of “the Avs”.
