Pittsburgh Penguins rumors: Panthers scouting Kris Letang?
Scott Burnside at ESPN thinks the Panthers' GM Jacques Martin, who was on hand for the Pens-Caps game, may have his eyes on either Kris Letang or Jordan Staal in exchange for Jay Bouwmeester. Nothing factual of course, just speculation.

That was kinda my sentiment as well. I know the pens are a little banged up on the blue line and all but Gonch is coming back and Bouwmeester would not solve any of the problems. Perhaps just an example of someone talking for the sake of talking.
And Staal? I know the guy isn’t exactly lights out, but if the Pens had any interest in trading him they wouldn’t have renegotiated that deal two weeks ago…
