Sid, Dupuis and Talbot skate, Orpik and Scuderi out
Good to see those three guys back on the ice. As of right now status is undetermined for the Rangers game Wednesday night. Scuderi has the flu so should be back around by then and Orpik is still nursing whatever injury he sustained before the break. Paul Bissonnette and Bill Thomas were also called back up from Wilkes-Barre.

Discouraging to hear about Orpik, the coaches comments made it seem like his injury was fairly minor; but obviously he must not be healing as quickly as anticipated.
Getting the toughness in Biz Nasty I understand, but Thomas over Jeffrey? Thomas did play well in his latest stint in the NHL, but I’ve been more impressed by Jeffrey’s consistency over his 14 games. Maybe they want Jeffrey to get a chance to play more than 10-11 minutes a night for a little while?

I’m not sold on Thomas either – right now at least. I’m more a fan of Tim Wallace. But he’s a grittier forward than the likes of Jeffrey who may at least add a little bit to the offense whenever he gets the call. More so than Wallace at least. But yeah – why Thomas?
