I remember hearing him tossed around in a few rumors last season.

I guess the big question here is, who do the Pens trade for Frolov? If it means anything more than a draft pick or farm guys, I don’t know how I feel. Why mess with something that is working so well right now?

i wouldnt trade farm guys. i havent seen this guy play at all but a 30g scorer in la with no real solid setup man. im thinking 40 maybe 50 on sid or genos line. i think my biggest concern is that if i was the gm of the caps, i would be jumping at this guy. support scoring for ao is the only thing they lacked in the playoffs last year.

I agree with Frank. As good as Frolov is, why break up a working machine for a new part when your current parts are working fine? Especially considering that Max Talbot’s coming back, and the Pens are up against the cap, the fact that the Pens are included in this list is confusing

I think the Pens are included just to get fans talking about the hypothetical. We’re doing it, so I guess they win. Boo.

Free agent at season’s end, and I don’t see how Pittsburgh could keep him with the salary cap expected to remain flat (or lose about $1 million).

It’d be sweet to add a player the caliber of Frolov, but I don’t think it’s possible.

why mess with the current chemistry the Pens have now. Geez we’re 9-1. This guy has a reputation, reminds me of Zherdev, alot of potential, but never shows it.
