Alex Goligoski injury update: Out 2-3 weeks, lower-body injury
There was a healthy amount of speculation surrounding this one, so forgive me for the late update. Just wanted to make sure I got the info straight.
In either case, tally up another injury for the Pens and their battered blue line. GoGo will join Brooks Orpik, Kris Letang and Sergei Gonchar on the shelf for the next two to three weeks, although it would seem that time period is more a guesstimate than an actual return date.
"He's getting an MRI today; He's got a lower-body injury. We are going to estimate 2 to 3 weeks on Alex."

At this point we can only hope that the prognosis of "two to three weeks" is, at best, the longest the team can expect to have him out. In other words, I'm really hoping that's not perceived as the minimum with the potential for more weeks or days to get added to it.
Let's play a game. How many injured players can you name in under 30 seconds? Extra credit if you include the farm.

Ridiculous.
There is a knack to flying: it's learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Talbot, Kennedy, Letang, Kunitz, Orpik, GoGo, Gonchar
Unfortunately I cannot name anyone on the farm. But that was about 10 seconds. (I’ve been talking about this so much that sadly I am able to rattle them off.)
Haha yeah it’s easy for us, on the tip of our tongues.
Unfortunately it seems like quite a few players in the minors are hurting too. Bayda and Veilleux both appeared to have suffered non-minor injuries just yesterday.

I don’t know if i’m the first to say it, but maybe they pushed themselves too hard too fast? Not saying bylsma is the problem but maybe the team is playing alittle too hard so early in the season

It’s possible that some players are pushing themselves too hard because of the other injuries, creating a vicious cycle. For example, TK came back to soon… Kunitz has apparently been injured for a while and only rested when Geno came back… GoGo played with the flu… Talbot mentioned in his blog that the trainer is eager for him to come back, but he is insisting on waiting until he’s ready.
The Penguins do push hard, but at the same time, other teams are playing hard against us because we’re the champions. I don’t mean they are trying to hurt our players, but that there has been a lot of aggression on both sides this season.
