Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

Hopes to play against the Sens, but will more or less be a game-time decision following the morning skate.

Does this mean a forward is going down? If so, who?

I would assume maybe Letestu (another center) just gets scratched for the time being and no one gets sent down to the minors yet.

The Pens are on the road for 3 games, no sense in sending someone down if Talbot can’t stay in the lineup or, heaven forbid, someone else gets hurt.

agreed after quickly adding the post below.

Letestu was my pick as well. He was also one of the most recent call ups I think, but given the rate in which guys are getting promoted I can honestly say I’ve lost track.

If he’s coming back this early, he must have gotten SUPERSTAR TREATMENT from the hospital and training staff.

(Sorry, I had to.)

Oh, hell yes!

As if the initial post didn’t make me happy enough, you add to the awesomeness.

Please be Borque…please be Borque…please be Borque

I think they would have to cut him or assign him to waivers, but I don’t care.

Yeah, I asked about him last week and was advised he would have to clear waivers. But that’s fine. Boston or someone else can pick him up if they want.

Indeed.

I’ve been pretty impressed with Letestu so far, and wouldn’t mind keeping him around as our fourth-line center.

As for who to cut/demote/bench, I agree that Bourque has shown us enough. If we’re looking for someone to scratch, though, why not pick Godard? I know he’s a keeper of the peace, but Rupp has filled that role before, too. He can probably take it on again if necessary, in addition to what he does already (y’know, scoring goals and things).

Hey, an out is an out - unless you're Mario, in which case it's probably two outs. -UtesFan89

I would go with Godard as well. even with all of the AHL call ups the guy can’t get off the fourth line. That means he’s at best worse than Bourque. I know he missed a goal last night but it seems to me that Bourque is improving.

Is there a risk of losing these WBS players when the Penguins recover? Meaning, when we send them back down to WBS, they will have to clear waivers, right? This means that another team could pick them up for free — and some of them have been playing very well. Are we worried that this will happen?

the player does not have to clear waivers if he has a two way contract and the move was made to make room for a player coming off the IR

Kinda like Conklin when MAF and Saborin went down two years ago.

Thanks for the info! I’m glad we don’t have to worry about losing these players.

I think only Bourque would have to clear waivers, am I right?

I was soooo hoping he’d be in the game on Monday, that I’ll be at.

That’s great news. Hope more return by Monday, but I doubt it
