A part of me feels like a genius for thinking Rich Peverley was going to do well after he left my Milwaukee Admirals. Still, that's nothing compared to how the man who said this team would start off as hot as it did feels.

Cheers, and Let's Go Pens!

I don’t doubt it. I’m sure if Antro scores a goal for ATL we’ll hear about how much he loves playing against them again too

I will say though that I’m happy with the look of that first defensive pairing

Yeah, nice to see that again.

Nice work by Duper on that shift.

Now let’s see if the PP can make it work

I think Skoula gets credit for it. That’s what the box score shows right now

I think he tried shooting it

by FrankD on Nov 21, 2009 7:27 PM EST up reply actions

Oh, sorry, I forget not everyone can watch FSN. They showed a slo-mo replay. The puck went in off a defenseman’s knee, so credit Skoula with the goal from Bourque and Crosby.

thanks:)

Which guy do you like to root against the most?

A) Ovechkin
B) Hossa
C) Hartnell

Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com and twitter.

by FrankD on Nov 21, 2009 7:26 PM EST reply actions

My sentiments exactly. And I really don’t care about Hossa anymore. Vengeance was justified with the Cup. I’m over him

Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com and twitter.

by FrankD on Nov 21, 2009 7:28 PM EST up reply actions

Hossa isn’t even an issue at this point

by GhostWalker40 on Nov 21, 2009 7:29 PM EST up reply actions

Ovechkin for me…

You have to see it for yourself...

by Bla Razor on Nov 21, 2009 7:28 PM EST up reply actions

To elaborate...

Ovechkin is a good hockey player, but Crosby and Malkin are better, so I don’t care about him. The reason the capitals are so invested in hating Crosby is that they are jealous. I don’t hate Ovechkin except when he injures a Penguin (I actively hated him for hurting Gonchar), but otherwise it does not bother me when he does well.

Hossa has suffered enough…

And, Hartnell is a the biggest douche in the universe who continues to plague our team by trying to injure them (for example, biting Kris Letang.)

by Cari on Nov 21, 2009 7:31 PM EST up reply actions

I will watch Ovechkin play anyone. He’s exciting as all hell to watch. I just really hate when he does well again the Pens, but hey, it helps fuel the rivalry.

Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com and twitter.

by FrankD on Nov 21, 2009 7:36 PM EST up reply actions

I must admit, after we lost 6-2 to Ottawa, I made myself feel better by watching the Penguins 6-2 victory in Game 7 against the capitals… it’s very satisfying when we beat their team (and silence the fans’ obnoxious chanting).

by Cari on Nov 21, 2009 7:39 PM EST up reply actions

I could care less about Hartnell, and we got revenge against Hossa. I hate Ovechkin with a fiery passion.

by ipenguin67 on Nov 21, 2009 7:57 PM EST up reply actions

Is it just me or does anyone else hate when announcers announce power plays like a monster truck commercial?

by Bla Razor on Nov 21, 2009 7:32 PM EST reply actions

They’ll say the fact that it wasn’t a major + game misconduct is further proof that there’s a league-wide conspiracy against their team.

Hahaha — I’m watching the Thrashers channel and there was a scrolling ad for “Thrasher’s kids day” where you get a free ticket for your child with the purchase of an adult ticket. Then it said “the next kids day is tomorrow…”

And my first thought was — they have seats available for tomorrow? (Then I remembered all the empty seats tonight.) Not every team is as lucky as the Pens.

Including the Pens from earlier this decade.

by JustinM on Nov 21, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions

Um didn’t Errey talk about how they can’t sell out in Atlanta and he just now said how quiet the sell out crowd is?

He’s had an excellent game otherwise

Our PP is AWESOME. Do we have more shorties against than PP goals this year?

by AngelaMc on Nov 21, 2009 9:17 PM EST reply actions

Haven’t seen any big blasts from Sarge last couple games.

Still favoring that wrist a bit, maybe.

Now that it’s even strength, maybe we can score.

to be fair the first PP was good.

I missed half that power play because my dad asked me about what a goalie wears for protection and I made the mistake of grabbing my C/A to demonstrate. It had been too long since I had gotten myself into the thing that I had trouble getting my left arm in without accidentally making it impossible to get the straps clipped on for the back. :(

If the score stays 3-1 the Thrashers will probably pull Hedberg soon. Skoula better be out there for the EN

Atlanta announcers cannot stop talking about how Cooke is dirty, his hits are “sometimes legal sometimes not,” everyone needs to watch about because he’s on the ice, etc.

Fleury wants an empty netter s o bad

I don’t know but the Thrashers’ mascot is making threatening gestures in his direction.

by Cari on Nov 21, 2009 9:34 PM EST up reply actions

He got one now though.

I have to admit, that was a good play by the Thrashers. At least they got a fair one.

Nice game. Flower looked great. The one goal against was BS and the other was a tough one. I like this; we’re looking more and more like the real Penguins.

by OlenWhitaker on Nov 21, 2009 9:41 PM EST reply actions

That was a great game to watch

We could have had a few more goals, but what matters is we got the W.

by Cari on Nov 21, 2009 9:42 PM EST reply actions

like Errey repeated a thousand times, Moose just played awsome tonight single handedly keeping the Shamsters in the game. I did not really see any decent back checking by their forwards at all tongiht and they just played uninspired.

Flower did his job and did it well..One goal should never have happened and the other just took a lucky bounce.

The officiating was pretty bad tonight on boht sides, Phantom trip call, missed blatant trip calls, blatant slashings, ok well those all were with Thrashers in favor but still ha. Just bad officiating.

Nice game for the pens coming off their worst game of the year. It was so good to see Orpik back laying people out again.
