Feedback wanted on Pensburgh's new look
Hey friends,
I was hoping maybe we could have a thread here for some feedback on the new look to the site. One of the cool parts about blogging on SBN is that the tech guys always have the reader in mind when doing these sorts of updates. The main focus of this one was to cut back on load time which, personally, I think is great. But sometimes for such an enhancement you have to sacrifice elsewhere with the way other things load and generally how they look.
Before I go listing my personal pros and cons, I was wondering what you guys had to say. What do you like? What do you hate? What would you like to see changed?
Keep in mind I plan on shooting this thread over to the tech guys as part of the general feedback, so if you don't like something speak up. A few changes have already been made because users on other sites made some suggestions right off the bat.
The content expressed in fanposts does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the staff here at Pensburgh.com. FanPosts are opinions expressed by fans of various teams throughout the league but may be more Pittsburgh-centric for obvious reasons.

I said it’ll grow on me…I don’t know if it’s good or bad, it’s just different. In time I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Different, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I said grow on me...
Its new and improved with more empty white space PLUS bonus ad in the mast!
YAY!
/sarcasim off.
Like the, no LOVE the content not the new look to much but ya know? I don’t overly mid. I just come here for content and opinion. (Even if ya’ll don’t know me as a poster I’ve lurked here FOREVER.)
Cheers!
Thanks for your input. That’s kinda what I was hoping for without having to say it myself. I mean, we’re a content-oriented site. It’s not an ugly aesthetic side one bit, but the content is the real heart of the matter. Which is really what I held back from saying in the comments on other sites where a majority of people are complaining.
And hey, thanks for commenting. I mean, I like the idea of knowing people tend to lurk around and read regularly, but I really enjoy just bantering back and forth with other Pens fans. So don’t be shy!

I lurk around a lot. Actually, I read this site almost religiously :/
Before I go to bed, in the morning, a time or two during the day… lol ugh, that sounds bad, almost an obsession, haha.
The reason I personally don’t post around a lot, or put in a lot of input, because I’m still in the… beginning stages of getting to know the game, rules, and such. And I absolutely love reading everyone’s opinion and views on the games, the players and such.
You guys are doing a great job with this site, so yups :)

Oh I’ve seen ya around. I know you dig your Pens. But you shouldn’t feel shy or uncomfortable about posting. It’s not like we’ll rip into for having questions or anything. Just a fun place for Pens fans to hang out and discuss the team. No worries.

Sorry
Spell checking mamillian was off duty today,
No banannas for him!
I said It'll grow on me
Main difference is that this new format is so predominantly white that it can be a bit glaring to look at.
I went with “it’ll grow on me” cause like everything new it needs some time to get used to and start liking it… it’s a bit edgy, but I guess it’s what it takes to make it load faster (which it does)
Now in my bookmarks toolbar against the “PensBurgh” title I see the SBN red star logo… which I think wasn’t the case before the update… it’s a small detail, but I like it…
You have to see it for yourself...
that little logo is something I’ve tried having replaced by the Pensburgh logo. Baby steps though I suppose.
