This is my first season with Center Ice, so I haven’t had much exposure to Paul Steigerwald and Bob Errey, but is Bob Errey always this weird? I think he just called Marc-Andre Fleury a mustang and said the Penguins ‘broke him.’ I don’t know whether to laugh or feel slightly disturbed. Perhaps both.

Okay, I’m a Devils fan, and I can say with certainty that Mike Rupp was never a top two line player for the Devils. I know New Jersey isn’t exactly known for offensive production, but they’ve never been that hard up. Rupp was strictly a fourth line grinder/enforcer.

by kellyn on Nov 5, 2009 11:43 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I thought that’s what they said, that Rupp never got the chance to really show his noted goal scoring abilities since he was buried on a 4th line on the notorious tight checking NJ teams.

Oh and the, “Let’s just pass the puck around during our PP’s” didn’t help either

Why can’t every “Quick” make him “Slow.”

but if it wasn’t for Quick we could’ve had a 2 goal lead heading into the 3rd

You have to see it for yourself...

While true that Quick’s made some great saves, shots are 30-17 Kings, and they’ve held more zone control. Top to bottom, LA"s been better all night.

A PP for the kings with 2 mins left? Well, not now since they scored but…

So if the Pens took a penalty that’s how it goes. It’s 5-2. It doesn’t matter either way unfortunately

I was kinda hoping the Pens would come out of this road trip 2-1. I was prepared to more or less concede that one loss to SJ. Now the Pens really have to come up big against the Sharks.

It’s a lengthy season, and we’re a bit banged up. In due time.

Cheers
