As noted in the Post-Gazette, Billy G didn't practice with the team yesterday but did take the flight to Philly with the rest of the guys. According to Dan Byslma, Guerin is a little sore but is approaching the roster for tonight's game as if he will be in the lineup.

It’s not nice to scare people like that, Frank.

Thanks, seriously. I wondered.

heh It figures that when I post something that puts his status in question a confirmation comes out less than an hr later.

And I agree with Bla – way to go on putting together the site. I have ya linked up to the left under Penguins blogs.

Hard to jump into the lineup when everyone’s in mid-season form and he never went through training camp and the early games when the rest of the league is ramping it up.. Not an excuse, just the truth.

It’s back to his old problem too: he’s a center playing on a team where he can’t be above a 4th liner. He doesn’t have the hands to produce every game as a top 6 forward but he’s better than being a strictly 4th line PK’er.

Plus the fact that guys like Adams, Dupuis and Rupp are playing so well in their roles also makes Talbot a victim of the team depth.

I think he’ll be fine, just needs to work at getting back. Godard will likely be a scratch again soon, Talbot’s not banished forever, but I do think as of right now he clearly deserves to be the odd man out when they do need to dress Godard.
