Oh no, old man Billy G has gotten into Geno’s supply of Red Bulls!
You come at the king, you best not miss.
In the opening they showed Geno in the lockeroom sipping his customary Red Bull, then Guerin (sitting next to him) started like chugging one.
I’m expecting a frantic start for Guerin and he’ll probably be crash and be asleep by the second period.
You come at the king, you best not miss.
I thought he’d just be on the ice for the entire first period.

I really don’t know how you drink it before skating. I’ve done it a couple times but aside from the heart stuff the carbonation just messes me up.

How often does Godard dress? Is he closer to an everyday player or a “when we need to watch out for a goon” player?

for the record, I always have to double check whenever I type Paul Stastny because I still occasionally drop “Peter” there instead

I wonder if he realizes he’s the only one on that train.
Probably not

The guy is a beast and we get to enloy him for two seasons at least for a very low deal :)

Geno played a big part in creating that play out of the Pens’ zone
Follow the Penguins on SBN @ Pensburgh.com and twitter.
Sid scored, of course. I’m going to take this opportunity to tell you all my sad story. I play the CBC on-line hockey pool. You have to have your picks in for the week every Saturday, I haven’t missed a week until last Saturday, missed getting my picks in. I thought, no biggie, my picks from week prior will carry over and I will still do ok, Crosby was my star forward (you get double points for your star players). NOT SO MUCH, due to cap value changes for some players, my cap changed from week prior so CBC automatically took my top guy, Crosby, and replaced him. That is 18 points I could have with Sid alone, I would be kicking butt. The worst part is that they replaced him with Ian Laperriere, fml, a crap Flyers player. I am so choked.
I thought Malkin was going to the Kings.

So what’s a bigger surprise: Marleau leading the league in goals, or Crosby right there with the elite scorers?

Have the refs in better position or just take an extra second to make sure the goalie has it.
That’s about all you could do.
You come at the king, you best not miss.
Yeah, or have a rule where if the puck is clearly already in the net when the whistle goes the goal counts. Not like, if it’s loose and gets banged in, but in the net. Kind of like how a goal can count if the net gets knocked off right before the puck crosses if it had no bearing on the play.

by Fehr and Balanced on Dec 3, 2009 8:51 PM EST up reply actions
Yeah, they could, but how many CLEAR goals a year get disallowed? Is it worth slowing the game down? You know coaches (think Tortorella) would be whining and calling for the review every time. I dont know if it’s worth it.
Though you do hate to see a good goal not count.
You come at the king, you best not miss.
That’s what I was thinking, it doesn’t happen enough to justify it. I have seen it now twice this year. So yeah, not a huge deal. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and accept the refs got it wrong. It is hockey after all.

We were hoping he’d turn the corner to Wilkes-Barre. Or Anaheim. Or hell, anywhere else.

Heh. He wont get to WBS. Caps will pick him up off waivers and put him in Hershey. Don’t want him lighting it up in the AHL for a rival.

Let’s make this happen. Preferably in Washington. Y’all need a target since they figured out they can just get rid of Nylander.
Simulated Gameday Experience - just like the real thing, only we have smoke machines.
Ha. There are always targets. Nyls is going to hang around forever. Until the end of the season. He’s done next year, the only question is where.

I think the Pens might keep Bourque (if they think Wash will claim him)
He’s got a low cap hit and they’re not gonna carry 22 players on the roster anyways….Why not keep him around and practicing in case it’s just gonna take a little more time. Ok.
You come at the king, you best not miss.
Yeah that makes sense. I’m not actually sure WAS can even claim him now but I don’t know what the actual cap situation looks like with all the injuries.

I was still holding out hope, but I just don’t think it’s happening here….Or anywhere in the NHL really.

I’ve been saying that since before you guys got him. I just didn’t think he quite had the skill and explosiveness to make it at his size. Now we have Perreault and everyone sees what I was talking about.

Yup. They are going to need to go into serious sell mode in the off-season. Lots of attractive assets there, they’ll be able restock the pond quickly, if done wisely.

Bolland or Versteeg have to be on the move right? They’re the only attractive contracts.
You come at the king, you best not miss.
I looked at it and nobody has to move because they have so many attractive guys to take.
Sharp, Versteeg, Barker, Seabrook, Big Buff, Bolland are all on decent contracts and would be attractive to any number of teams. They are going to be up against a wall but they have so many options I don’t think they’ll get forced into a bad trade.
Of course, if they QO’d correctly they probably don’t need to do much at all.
