Stan Smyl for the Canucks in that shot. There’s a guy who just fell off a cliff when he hit 30 years of age.
That picture had to be from the 1984-1985 season. The Canucks wore that jersey (the Big V style with the sleeve numbers above the Canuck skate symbol) from 1982-1985. Lemieux wouldn’t have been in a game until the last season of that jersey’s run.
We can see that it’s in Vancouver from the “…IFIC COLI…” on the ice.
The Penguins played only one game in Vancouver that year. The date of this pic was Friday, Nov 16, 1984.
