CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS vs. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

IN PITTSBURGH @ 7:30pm ET

RADIO FEED ON WXDX.com

BLACKHAWKS BLOG: SECOND CITY HOCKEY

Boy do I wish I was at this one. Afterall, this match up last year was my first NHL game in a long time, as well as my first Pens game.

If that game was something, add Hossa to the mix, and we perfection. This game should be a lot of fun to watch, and, I promise, I will not be wearing my Jonathan Toews sweater for this one either.

Cheers, and Let's Go Pens!

I’m so stoked for this game! This is the first time all year that I have been able to watch the Penguins on my TV (I’m in Chicago with only broadcast channels).

Unfortunately that means the announcers will be prattling on endlessly about Toews instead of Crosby.

Didn’t you go to the game in Chi-town last season?

Yes I went with my sister and we had an amazing time… the Pens scored five goals and won in overtime. We wanted to buy tickets for a Chicago game this year, but there is no game in Chicago… this is the only time they play all year.

by Cari on Dec 5, 2009 7:38 PM EST up reply actions

As said, I was there. It was an epic, as this first half has been so far…minus the Hossa goal..

At a bears game tonight. Happy to have Borque back. He scored a goal in the first 5 minutes of the first period. Why couldn’t he have done that in Pittsburgh?

by stoopidtom on Dec 5, 2009 7:33 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Wow Chris Bourque scored? I guess he’s in a better place for him.

by Cari on Dec 5, 2009 7:35 PM EST up reply actions

Bet you regret that now! haha.

And Carcillo pulled a total dirt bag move and jumped Matt Bradley. Caps have 2 goals so far on a 9 minute PP. They have about 4 minutes left to start the second.

I was watching that game before the Pens game started… and I think there was an argument again what comes first the major or the minors? I guess it’s major-minor-minor

I think it’ll be a fine for an elbow that was never called. As far as headhunting goes, that’s an easy call to make considering the intent was obvious.

You have to see it for yourself...

by Repperson29 on Dec 5, 2009 10:14 PM EST reply actions

first OTL of the season right?

by tehchico on Dec 5, 2009 10:14 PM EST reply actions

Damn.

First OT loss of the year. Sucks.

by pittbluedevil on Dec 5, 2009 10:14 PM EST reply actions

Still, that was a hell of a game. We totally dominated; can’t fault our effort. At least we got a point out of it. Can’t help thinking we would have had two with 87 in the lineup.

by OlenWhitaker on Dec 5, 2009 10:14 PM EST reply actions

we played a great game… the guys played with fire and that was more important than the 1 point we didn’t get

You have to see it for yourself...
