I liked what I sa from Caputi. He had a lot of hussle and got right in the middle of things when he needed to. made some rookie mistakes but thats expected. i hope i see him a lot more next year
seems like you could say basically this same thing
about all of the young call ups… they all play hard and that’s good to see..
Prime definition of a guy “earning” his spot on the roster. It’s definitely good to see. Sometimes you underestimate the class of guys in WBS. Guys like Caputi and GoGo remind you competent reinforcements are there if necessary.

Well that better be the reason, Luca was one of the main reasons Pittsburgh even got goals the past few games. This kid has alot of heart and he’s not afraid to dig for pucks. A great forward and I am quite pissed that he is in fact going back down, but, if it’s for the return of Fedo or Gonch, then I might be able to get over it quickly but if not, shame on Shero. Caputi is gonna be a hit for the Penguins in the VERY near future.

I highly doubt this is the last we see of him. He was a big favorite during prospect camp in August but I guess he didn’t impress as much as they had hoped for. Hopefully this short, yet productive stint helps his chances for next season. If Satan and Fedo hit the road after this season, Caputi may pose as a good, cheap fill that allows for money to be spent elsewhere.

Well I mean, a junior hockey player who gets a call to go to an NHL camp and shows up a bit nervous and shaky will never be a favorite…But time heals all wounds. The cheap fill was a good point but I’m pretty sure they just might keep Satan after this season..Pens need all the guys they can have.

Hmmm I dunno. We’ll have all offseason to tackle that one, but I’m pretty sure Satan’s day in Pittsburgh are already numbered unless he can really kick things into high gear.

I don't think he will be back next year
For one, he hasn’t impressed at all. I have serious questions regarding his work ethic and desire. And, Therrien seems to not like him either. Personally I think Caputti was sent down so he could get the minutes he deserves. I have a feeling he will be playing with the big boys next year.
Same thing happened to Eaton..
Eaton’s been on and off with his injuries and he wasn’t so effective because of it..But Therrien still kept him, I mean Satan has improved, wich is a huge plus.. I think that Satan is gonna realize it quite soon and really kick into gear. Yeahh I have had a HUGE feeling for Caputi and if they trade him like they did to Espo, I will be quite pissed off. They looked at Espo completely wrong, he shined for Canada, and now he’s playing on a different team. They gave wayyy to much and honestly, Pittsburgh can’t afford another costly mistake like that one.

Nah they’re not going to mess with the farm right now. I think moving Esposito was a good move. For starters, he dropped dramatically in pre-draft rankings the entire year before with the QMJHL Remparts. He failed to impress in camp, didn’t do jack in the preseason and was having a moderate year when sent back to Quebec. I think he’ll develop into a decent player with Atlanta, but more along the lines of a Sean Horcoff sort of player who can put up points when he’s not injured.
Eaton was more or less offered a contract that would pay him what two bum knees are worth. $1 mill over two years is respectable and probably better than what other teams could’ve/would’ve offered.

what....
Moving Esposito was horrible! As soon as Espo movied he went up wayy crazy and showed how good of a hockey player he was with Canada….Hey that’s the same with Hedman, from Sweden….With Sweden he bombed in the tournament and he’s moving down the drafts but people still have high hopes for him.
Okay, but is Eaton worth it!? Is he worth spending money not knowing if he’s gonna come out of a game alive..
