"Don't plan a parade route or anything like that. It was just one of those nights for us. We're not a Stanley Cup contender. We're not a team that's going to rack up 10 games in a row in this league, but games like this are going to happen once in a while."
Good to see Leafs coach Ron Wilson can tell it like it is, despite what other Toronto fans may think

I disagree with those sentiments
I don’t mind my coach thinking that… but he shouldn’t be saying it.. until you are mathematically eliminated you shouldn’t be cashing in the season publicly… which is what it sounds like the Leafs are doing..
They are 12 points out of the 8 spot.. yea, that’s a lot.. but it’s not like it’s impossible..

Wilson’s been saying it all season, it’s not anything new.

Maybe so, but still nice to see when your team gets a 6-2 beat down.

Oh trust me I wouldn’t want the Pens’ coach saying it, but I’m happy to see another team’s coach do it.

Ronnie’s saying it for a reason. He is fighting a constant battle with the Toronto mittenstringers to remind his team that they are terrible.
Of course these games happen all of the time…in October and November. But against the former finalists and a team that has two of the league’s highest scorers and it’s in the stretch run and has a coach that was on the hot seat…well, the team in trouble tends to win those games and not give up six unanswered goals.
