If you've been following the news here on Pensburgh than you're probably no stranger to the fact that Hooks Orpik joined on as a writer here just last week.
Unfortunately the site has been without Hooks for the past few days, as I've just learned our rookie writer is listed as day-to-day after having his appendix removed this past weekend. Whether or not this was a direct result from the news of Michel Therrien's firing is still under investigation.
Like any good hockey player Hooks insists he'll be back soon. Considering the team's dismal existence, I've advised him to take his time.
With that said, here's to a speedy recovery Hooks!
