Petr Sykora day-to-day, may play Tuesday against Panthers

PrintEarlier today Hooks Orpik gave a brief look at defenseman Philipe Boucher and what appears to be a slow road to recovery. Luckily the same can not be said of Petr Sykora.
If you watched the Caps game this past Sunday you may have noticed Sykora was out with an ambiguous upper body injury. I have heard whispers of back spasms and bruised ribs, an injury he sustained prior to the 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars on March 1. He didn't practice that day but still played.
Dan Bylsma says Syko is day-to-day right now but according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is "optimistic" he will play tomorrow against the Panthers.

yeah, he was hurt some time before the Dallas game. Not sure which though because I don’t remember him leaving the ice in any of the previous games…
