In his interview before the Stanley Cup finals start Evgeni Malkin states that the new coaches treat players in a friendly way, doubts that Datsyuk will play man-to-man defense against him, repines at the game schedule and says that the Penguins want revenge.

Really good interview. I enjoy reading Malkin’s translated-from-russian interviews. He gets the negative stigma a lot of being a total dumbass because of his interaction with american and canadian press, but he’s actually pretty intelligent. and he’s cocky. I like it, and I’m recc-ing this one.

Not sure why anyone would think he’s a dumb ass. I couldn’t do the reverse of what he’s doing, speaking Russian for the Russian media ;)

Thing that I like, while he is learning more and more, is that he’s getting more and more comfortable being himself here. Classic example was his second goal on his hat trick against Carolina. Crowd was chanting Geno, he gets the goal, and plays up the crowd.

Can’t imagine how awesome he’ll be in the years to come.
