What a Game by Fleury, What a Series by Fleury, What a Postseason by Fleury!!

Marc-Andre might of just had the two most clutch games of his life. He made saves when they were needed the most. For example game 6, there's a breakaway and it looks like the Wings have tied it up but NO, Fleury denies him and saves the game.  Then in game 7 he holds the Wings to one goal. it seemed like you couldn't get a puck shaped grain of sand past him. Now you may say "what about Fleury in game 5?" that was an off night by him.

It looked like that he couldn't play well at all in the Joe, as evidenced by game 5. But Fleury was saving the best for last, having (as previously mentioned) his best game all series if not all playoffs. And proving that an arena can't intimidate him.

This postseason has really proved to everyone that Fleury is a great goalie, outplaying Cam Ward (He just recently got his liqour license back) and Chris Osgood two goalies who some thought would easily outplay Fleury, bur he outplayed him. He also outplayed that goalie phenom Varlamov for Washington.

I look forward to many more years with Flower in the net stopping pucks.

The Flower blooms

As impressed as I was with the way the Pens always came through when they really needed to, I was most impressed with the way Fleury really came through when the team needed him. That was evidenced time and again against Philly, Washington and especially detroit. Fleury’s record in OT in the playoffs, 5-1 as well as his 3-0 record in elimination games this year, speaks for itself that he really is a clutch GT. Honestly I had my doubts about the guy but he’s now a proven winner. I can same ditto for Jordan Staal, absolutely huge against the Wings when the Penguins big boys were being pretty well held at bay. Great job. Great win. Great Championship!!!
