It's A Celebration
First few photos, courtesy of Fox Sports, of the parade.
Hopefully more, and better, photos to come. Absolutely amazing turn out. Great to see.

Brian Metzer over at Hockey Buzz also has a ton to scroll through as well. Some great shots.

if you look at metzer’s thread, way down at the bottom there’s something beryy berry interesting on billy g.
Malkin – “First I want to say 1 more year to Billy” Guerin taps him… “Make that two more…” Thumbs up from Guerin! …

Oldtimehockey, I sure hope that’s how things turn out!!!! Guerin’s like black pepper—you can’t make a meal around him, but you definitely want him in the Penguins’ kitchen. Can’t believe he’s been there such a short time, and I’m saying that.
Does someone have to tell Crosby he can only get to first base with the Cup? ;-)
Love seeing the guys so happy, and all the happy Pittsburgh-area fans, too! I was there in spirit! And they all look way better without the playoff beards, of course.

hah! After the Pens won my sister e-mailed me a pic of him kissing the Cup and said, “This is probably the most action he’s seen all year.”

The WTAE website has lots of photos as well. Looked like a beautiful day and a great moment; would have loved to be there.
@Oldtime: I have heard that the team has real interest in re-signing Billy. We’ll see what happens. I would love to see him back.

I couldn’t get to close or high enough to get a shot with my telephoto lens. But, I did get some video towards the end. Once I figure out how to put it online or if one of you could help, I will post my video from the parade. It is from the very end when they played “We Are The Champions” and “Celebrate” while they all took turns lifting the cup.
Best part of the day was when the “Geno’s” drank from the cup.

Surely. If you have a flickr account or other photo account you can upload there. As far as the video goes, I guess you can just upload it to YouTube or something and get that going. I’m sure a number of us would be happy to help if need be.

i watched the live feed online during work, amazing. the announcers were a little annoying at times, not knowing players names, etc. but still, amazing.
oh, and does anyone else think that a lot of them were a little drunk or hungover? for whatever reason, the first thing that came to mind when sid started talking was that he had been drinking. haha, nevertheless, it was great seeing the crosbys and malkins drinking from the cup.

Seems like Pittsburgh handled this a LOT better than LA…
