In the fourth game of every series in the 2009 NHL playoffs, Hossa has scored a pair of goals. It’s the only time he’s found the back of the net in the postseason. No goals in the first three games of the series, and no goals after Game 4.

that’s what I was talking about, when I was saying Hossa’s coming for ya tonight!
Seriously, can you imagine the magnitude of the boos if he does net a couple more tonight?
Off topic, but, bad juju of such a move aside, if we get the participation numbers like we did the other day, Frank, you might want to consider starting up an overflow thread when we get in the vicinity of 500 comments.
SB Nation’s latest upgrade seems to have put in some sort of performance setting, where if you ‘re not actively on a page for a bit, it won’t autoload new comment until you click onthat page…which is a bit annoying in its own right….but for someone like me, who’s been closing pages and then re-opening them entirely (in an effort to try and actually get SOMETHING work accomplished while trying to listen to a SCF broadcast), the load times for when the threads are hitting 600, 700 and more comments is really bad, just massive lag time…
just a suggestion
Yeah I’m definitely taking that whole load time thing into consideration tonight. I think once we hit 600 comments I’ll toss up an overflow thread. Hopefully that can break it up a bit.

I think we’re due for a barn burner. With the exception of G3 (4-2 with an EN), the series has been well contained. I think we’ll see the lamp go off a few more times tonight.

Yeah, sometimes the formatting takes a lil getting used to. If you click to the right of the Preview-Post-Cancel options you’ll see a “formatting guide.” That should let you know what little symbols do here on SBN.

Tonight's game
for those out of town who do not have versus or can’t go out to watch the game, you can get live streaming through Justin TV – that’s how I watched game 3 – me- I am going out for this one!
frickin versus….for a Final game….it was bad enough when a SCF game was on espn….I still can’t get over that crap…
Don’t forget to stay tuned for Sports Soup! (insert the sound of me gagging)

What the hell is up with that one promotion for it where there’s a kid in a marching band practicing, a black woman comes into his room and hits him in the junk and floors him…and then she just keeps talking. Does the kid stay there the whole time she’s talking? Is it her room and she just hired a kid to come over and pretend to get hit in the marbles? Very confusing.
More importantly though, what’s the point of a webcam-to-webcam fight between sports fans if it has to be moderated?
Sports Illustrated dubbed it “An amateur version of Around the Horn.” That seems pretty accurate based on what I’ve seen so far. I just think in the grand scheme of things it makes people think all those idiots yelling and painting their faces for 15 minutes of “fame” are a direct representation of people who run blogs. I mean, I live in my mom’s basement, eat doritos and drink Dr. Pepper all day as it is. Do I need anymore stereotypes?

The Hotel I am in tonight has VS. I have actually been watching it all afternoon because I am afraid if I change the channel it will disappear.

As this stat was thrown around beginning the evening after Game 3, I began to wonder something:
Is this one of those random coincidences or is it because Hossa is finally able to figure out the opposing team and get his chances?
After having a few days to think on it, I have come to the conclusion that it is merely a coincidence and that Wings fans shouldn’t be expecting too much from Hossa. If it were a result of him figuring out the opposition, then all the games after Game 3 of the other series he would have had similar production. Also, he already knows the Penguins (at least the tendencies of the core players) so the learning curve would have been much shorter for this series and he would have had a break out game prior to this next Game 4.
All in all, I think this will be the Sid and Geno show tonight, and (dare i dream?) we will witness the breaking of Osgood.

I think we can definitely break him, but we gotta come early and often and not let up. He’s not God, he can be broke and Crosby and Malkin are the two headed monster to do it.
I’m gonna go ahead and throw Staal in there as well. His line has had some tremendous pressure and its about time he revisits his hat-trick performance against Detroit from earlier in the year.

The Two Headed Monster will stike tonight
Sid and Geno will both score two goals, Osgood will be yanked, Hossa may score, but the Pens are going to win , 6-2.
