Staal SH goal changed the series
That changed the whole series…we broke Osgood.
This is the Pens I was worried about seeing, taking advantage of miscues…the Wings have been giving the puck up in their own zone all playoffs…just that the other teams weren’t able to make it pay off…
heck, it wasn’t until this last period that the Pens finally started capitalizing…but now, the question is, is this a spurt that Babcock can adjust to, or the floodgates for the remainder of the season?
and this worries you why??? this should be great news that the pens won't let a 1 goal deficit bother them.. these penguins are ready!

Did anyone else see Scuds say eff me after that turnover and goal he gave up when they zoomed in on him on the bench, or am i too late on that one.
I am not sure what you have said about this in the past comments (nor am I going to read through 500 something of them to find out:)), but the wings finally look kinda slow and old…..Maybe the pens will clean this up in 6- Momentum sure has swung.

Anyone else feel like the Pens have gotten stronger in every series this playoffs? Sure seems like it.

The first two games, I tried to participate in the live thread at Puck Daddy … but the lag was really frustrating. DET won both of those games..
Since coming over here …. the Pens have won both of these.
I mean, not to toot my own horn here … but …. i’ll send you all my billing address.

I think we can safely say
that Geno or Sid will win the Conn Smythe regardless of who wins the Cup. My money is on Geno. Still, that’s not the trophy I want to see him holding.

I just said he has a chance…not that he’s a shoo-in. But, Franzen has scored some very timely goals, and has led his team.
I hate him, but I think he’s the most likely guy to compete from the DET side.

Agree, Franzen has a ton of goals and is as good as any DET candidate for the Smythe if they win the Cup.

My Recap?
The Penguins are really catching their stride. The Pens’ forwards outplayed Detroit’s. When Detroit was about to flex their muscle on back-to-back powerplays? The Pens score a shorty. Game 5 is critical. The Pens’ need to sustain this momentum, and win one of three at Detroit. Chances are, it’ll be a lot easier to win game 5 than game 7.
Also, the focus now shifts from the Pens’ superstars, to Detroit’s. Take a look at the standings. Zetterberg, Franzen, Hossa, Lidstrom, Rafalski, and Cleary haven’t been consistent contributors. Luck got Detroit by in games 1 and 2 without them. Chances are, it won’t be good enough from now on.

Against us in Chicago, I thought Detroit looked very beatable. A young team that moves the puck well and keeps it up for an entire game is something they can’t keep up with. Tonights game was awesome. I thought the Pens played a basically flawless game. I hope you take with you to Detroit. NBC’s coverage is bad enough, but I really hope we don’t have to hear Journey and the cheesy crowd sing along again.
