Not quite as good as Pascal Dupuis’—whoever he got is an artist—but nice. Where to place one’s second Stanley Cup tattoo is definitely one hell of a nice dilemma to have.

The art really isn’t as good as the Penguins one, no. But I’ll bet Fedotenko himself thinks it looks just fine. Makes me wonder if Pittsburgh has better tattoo artists. Having seen some butt-ugly tattoos in Florida, this would not surprise me one bit.

Also, it looks like he got white ink in the penguin’s belly and eye, too. That stuff hurts like hell. (I have a panda and know whereof I speak here.)

I have one on my arm. It took 5 1/2 hrs. I think I was more bored by the end of it than anything else.

Oh, I’m sure there are some great artists in Florida. I’m guessing that Feds wasn’t searching for the best artist around when he got that tat, and that there’s a good story behind it. It probably has something to do with a bar, a bunch of teammates, and the nearest open tattoo shop. For his second go around with the Pens’ cup, it looks like he might have sought out a much more qualified artist, and might have been more of a pre-planned ordeal.

You’re probably right on all counts! And yes, there are good artists in Central Florida—I dated one and got the state of Florida placed above my heart from another. It just really looks like Fedotenko didn’t see either of them. At least he learned his lesson!

Dupuis probably got lucky when he got his.
