NHL.com to feature Pensburgh, SBN Hockey content
This is something I'm really excited about.
During the playoffs, NHL.com featured a fair share of content from SBN Hockey blogs throughout the playoff portal on the main page. Hooks and I were keeping tallies at one point to see whose posts got more love from the NHL, but I think at some point we lost count and just marked it up as a job well done. As you can imagine, that is a good thing.
For the upcoming season, NHL.com and all of SBN Hockey will be prominently featured on NHL.com's Fan Portal.
Each site manager has been asked to send along content each day/week that they feel stands out above the rest, or perhaps touches on a topic that hasn't been discussed. There will also be some NHL eyes checking in from time to time to see what we have rolling out on the site. That's where you guys come in.
You see, this isn't open to just the staffers here at Pensburgh. If you type up a fanpost - and by that we mean, not another recap or preview - and get some front page love on the site here, then there's also a chance it will get picked up on NHL.com. There's no guarantee of course, but your chances increase greatly with each contribution.
It's definitely pick-up line material.

Great for PensBurgh
I am very excited about this. Whilst I may be a bit away from SBN, in this summer of running all over the place, it’d be something special to get PensBurgh out on NHL.com. Real cool that they’ve tied that into the Pirtal, which seemingly was plugged on end for any game I caught on TV last year.
PensBurgh penalty - Lavender - 2 Minutes for Excessive Stanley Cup Raising.
Congrats guys!
However, I must disclose that I can’t promise some legal jargon might spill over into a fanpost or 2, since I will be working ~55 hours a week on law school stuff…just a warning…

We’ll let it slide. Perhaps the legal jargon will make us all look much smarter. We might not understand it, but perception is everything
