He's probably going to need it...
They're expecting "tens of thousands" of people for Sidney Crosby's day with the Cup on Friday for his parade in Nova Scotia. Who knew there was that many people up there! Details of Sid's itinerary are starting to pop out.
Crosby will arrive with the Stanley Cup by Sea King Helicopter on the flight deck of HMCS Preserver at 9 a.m. Following greetings from several dignitaries, including Defence Minister Peter MacKay, Crosby will meet a group of sailors, soldiers, airmen and airwomen and civilian employees and their families from Halifax Region Canadian Forces.
He will then leave the dockyard in a light armoured vehicle convoy.
It almost makes one wonder, what's the real prize for the troops, protecting the age old Stanley or their 22 year old wonderkid who's looking to lead Canada to the Olympic gold for the first time since 2002?

A little of both, I imagine.
I’m pleased he’ll be there with Canada’s finest backing him up. Outstanding.
Did you know the Cup went to Kandahar, Afghanistan a few years ago?
IS PAЯTY NOW
Holy hell!
Or as my granddaddy would’ve put it, “Don’t that beat all?”
I’ve known a lot of people whose 22nd birthday celebration required law enforcement prescence, but I hadn’t heard of one who needed a military prescence before. Hope everyone enjoys it, anyway.
