Jonathan Bombulie from Citizens Voice dubbed Jesse Boulerice's presence at WB/S camp as an "interesting" invite. Couldn't agree with him more.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton training camp roster will be announced any day now and when it is, there will be an interesting name on it. Jesse Boulerice has been invited to camp. Boulerice, 31, has been one of the AHL's toughest players over the past decade and has also racked up more than 60 fights in more than 170 NHL games.
That's practically one fight for every three games played. Interesting. Wonder what the Pens are planning here. Where do Godard, Rupp and Bissonette factor in here, if at all? One things for sure - they definitely have a weird interest in former Hurricanes players.
Boulerice played 41 games for the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters last season, racking up 4G, 3A and 97 minutes in penalties. The Edmonton Oilers picked him up for two games, where he had zeros across the board in every stat category.
My favorite Boulerice fight after the jump.
Hey I didn't say he won. Such is the risk you take as an enforcer.
