Penguins trim roster, cut 10 players
Can't say many of these come as big surprises, although there was a lot of buzz going around regarding Alex Grant. Obviously it's not the last the Pens will see of him. Chances are there's more development in the works, hence the assignment to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Not entirely sure whether we'll see more cuts before tomorrow's intrasquad game in WBS, but as of right now it would seem guys like Eric Tangradi and Brad Thiessen are in good shape to get another spot in the next game.
Full list of cuts after the jump.

Question...
The Pens site said in the article that Parise was headed to Wilkes-Barre. Isn’t there going to be a bit of a logjam there, what with Thiessen and Curry already being at AAA?
Hey, an out is an out - unless you're Mario, in which case it's probably two outs. -UtesFan89
Parise was on a tryout. So he may have been sent down to WBS now, but another demotion to Wheeling could happen. Not saying it will, but it’s a possibility if they want to keep him in the system somewhere.
