Tuesday links: Sidney Crosby delivers tickets, Eric Tangradi's recovery, Pens plan clinic in DC
- Pens prospects lost to Ottawa's 4-1 last night. The Pens are 0-2 so far in the Kitchener tourney but did manage to rack up six fighting majors last night. [One post down]
- Two years ago Sid delivered tickets to a season ticket holder who told him the Pens wouldn't win the Cup this season (2008 at the time) but would do it next (2009). She was obviously right. El Sid decided to make a return visit to the team's soothsayer, this time with the Cup to go along with her season ticket package. [Post-Gazette]
- Geno delivered some tix as well. Judging from the article I can only assume his English is coming along well. [Penguins]
- This prospect tourney in Kitchener will allow Eric Tangradi to test out his wrist without much risk after coming back from surgery on a severed tendon. [Post-Gazette]
- Before the Pens hit up the White House on Thursday, a few players will host a Hockey is for Everyone clinic in DC. Sid, Fleury, Papa Guerin, Geno, Brooks Orpik and J. Staal will be on hand. [NHL.com]
No game for the Pens prospects tonight. They resume tournament play tomorrow night against the Leafs

The thing that I really like, with Geno picking up more and more English, is that he only becomes that much more comfortable on and off the ice. One of my favorite moments last year in the Playoffs was him playing up to the crowd, on his second goal, in his hat trick game. It’s got to be a weight off the shoulders getting more and more use to the surroundings, and I think that can actually be a plus on the stat sheet the more comfortable he gets.

How many members of the Capitals have signed up for the hockey clinic?

Y’all know Crosby just wanted one more chance to handle the Stanley Cup before he had to say bye-bye to it for the season! I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cup smelled like his aftershave at this point.
I’ll bet those kids were dying of thrilled to see Malkin, too. I love seeing him gain confidence as well as English fluency. Like Lavender said, it can only help.
And the plumber…ha! Another rec for you!
