Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Seriously? Did he just like, kind of put out a hit for Gonchar?

Gonchar’s hit was indeed wrong, but this comment by Clutterbuck is him stooping even lower.

Idiot.

I completely agree that the hit by Gonchar was wrong and he should be suspended for it. I also understand that he did not just do it just for the hell of it. They both had some confrontations prior to that play, but it was definitely wrong of Gonchar to do what he did.

Is it just me or has Gonchar been playing some pretty sloppy hockey recently?

The video is blocked for me, but was he serious or kidding about that comment? Completely moronic statement either way, almost as bad as Gonchar’s flying elbow.

That comment is pretty absurd from a guy that throws as many hits as he does. Gooch has made it this far so he’s obviously doing something right, it’s not like he’s Ryan Hollweg. I thought the hit was bad but there won’t be a suspension, fwiw.

You know what though dudes, I seriously think that Gonchar is just as frustrated at the team as Mario, Bylsma, or even Shero is, because all you hear is how the PP struggles without Sarge. I would be pretty pissed if my name kept being thrown around as an excuse, especially when you’re defending Stanley Cup champions. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he is just fed up with how his team is playing, and that is also what I’m taking that hit as, kind of like a wake up call that snap everyone out of it. Because I think it’s safe to say that Sarge doesn’t usually go for crap like that. I think he’s just trying to spark something.

is there going to be a fine for butterdick’s comments? those are worse than the hit! Seriously, this is a guy that tries to put people in the third row when he hits them….a little taste of your own medicine, suck it up buddy! The hit was high, we all know that……f the w/the bull and you know what happens. Besides, this is Sarge we’re talking about here, guys don’t get any classier as far as i’m concerned. yep, you’re right. it almost seems he realized what he had just said, and backed off of things a little bit. I love players that play that style of game, finish every check, every time. But don’t whine when you get knocked on your ass. Moreover, clutterbuck had time to think about what he was going to say….gonchar’s hit was completely impulsive during the heat of the moment…excuse the cliche!

and worry about his next meeting with Edmonton. Sheldon Souray has shown every indication over the last two seasons that he might kill the young man.

Haha just kind of a stupid comment from Clutterbuck. Saying “it won’t be from me” like he is above that or something makes him look stupid, especially when you take into account that he was the NHL leader in hits last year.

Yeah, it won’t be him because the Wild won’t sniff the Stanley Cup Finals this season — the only other way the two teams would meet again.

Really. Who the players that he thinks look at the highlight reel for NHL “injustices” and mark their calendars? Even our enforcers have better things to do.

This quote is funnier if you picture Clutterbuck starting with a “Bitch please” and ending with a Z-snap. Oh, and if you picture him saying it in full drag. but that’s just me.
