Flower Appreciation Post
via penguins.nhl.com
Disclaimer: This post is not to be used to discuss the pros and cons of MAF, only to be thankful of the fact that the Pens have a #1 goalie whose nickname is literally "Flower". If this rule is broken I'll find you and beat you with a stick.
No matter what your opinion is on Pens' goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, we're all fans and we all want to see him succeed. Because of the recent discussion about him around these parts, I figured I should make a fanpost (my first one at that) so we can all bask in the awesomeness that is Flower.
We're all allowed to laugh at him here
He has a sense of humor...
..Apparently he's rich too
What do Penguins and frogs have in common?
MAF with his beloved mask:
He saved it when it counts
Finally, for the French-speakers:
In conclusion, Marc-Andre Fleury is pretty awesome
The content expressed in fanposts does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the staff here at Pensburgh.com. FanPosts are opinions expressed by fans of various teams throughout the league but may be more Pittsburgh-centric for obvious reasons.

The poll’s a nice touch.
Oh Hockey Season... How I've missed you...
Just so I never have to answer this again. I'm from Singapore so whenever you see me online, I'm either sleep deprived or just waking up.

I like the last picture! It is a little foreshadowing for June 2011!

Oh no, another Cup win on the ROAD?
I guess I can live with that. But I hope it’s in Chicago, or maybe Detroit again, someplace within driving distance.

Sure, preferably at Consol, but based on the picture above being a foreshadowing, looks like we’ll win it away from home.

Thank You! I needed this after hearing unnaprecative fans saying how much he sucks and how is one of the worst in the league. One even went as far to say thay she wishes that we had Carey Price in net, of course until she found out that it was actually “some guy” named Jaroslav Halak then she wanted him……. I was about to explode.

The running back? Because he’s the goal line back for the Steelers? That’s the only connection I could draw.

Just "the running back"?

Wow, I hadn't even looked at the second one.
I think that one actually wins, for having that completely non-photoshopped picture of Ziggy slicing off Alfredsson’s head.
I’ve never seen posts like that, though. Those were amazing.

Much more awesome than that other French guy with a hyphenated first name, who happens to start in goal for a certain team the Pens will play tomorrow.

I'll grant you those, even the Jiggy one.
I’m willing to believe that going bald increased his skills.
But…
Ryan Getzlaf > Tyler Bozak
Chris Kunitz > Kris Versteeg
Andy McDonald > Mikhail Grabovski
…and there are a lot more of those.

Well, I didn't mention Selanne either.
There’s not even anyone on the Leafs for him to be compared to.

Love you Flower!!
Fleury, one of my favorite players.
Here’s to him pulling it together this season.
Get in the fast lane Grandma, the bingo game's ready to roll!
You know it will happen. I have a feeling this will be one of those things we are looking back on as the Spring of 2011 starts to head toward Summer, and we’ll be thinking “yep, that’s part of what strengthened this team, brought them together and set them up for great things”.

if Bylsma’s ever confident to give him the chance. I know he’s still the starter but to go with the hot hand six games in to the season? I can understand half way or late in the season for a playoff push but this is too early. Bylsma is either sending a message or he doesn’t have confidence in Fleury right now.
Const4ntine is baaaaack
Hey champs…
Yes, I’m back with the funny nicknames and all the quick witted replies…
Shout out to Leafer, dio and ali….its been a minute…
Now for the post…
Fleury has always had a knack for getting in these little slumps of his…but when are we going to remember….we’re still in first in our division…slump or not, we still have wins…Being a goalie myself, we’ve all had those games where nothing we were doing was working. Hell, it’s been a long off season for him and he’s had to deal with the Montreal let down from the playoffs last season (yeah, I had to watch that game in a canadian compound in afghanistan with a bunch of habs fans and only one other black and gold’er) so give the flower a break
