It’s up to you how you want to think of it. Today is Wednesday. Opening day is Thursday. That’s 1 day by pretty much every account I’ve ever heard of.

When will the season finally start, you ask? Well, here's your (new and improved) answer.
Nash says Malkin's fist has "big taste."
And you get to watch the opener at 4pm, which is something that makes me very jealous. I really miss Phoenix. At least then we had west coast hours half of the year. Football games at 10am, hockey in the late afternoon, plus I got to work East Coast hours so I’d get out and still feel like I had a life.

That stinks. I’m not sure about the change to 7pm starts. Mrs PAYD already has trouble making it home in time for us to watch 7:30 games live.

I, too, dislike the shift to 7 PM starts. It won’t be a problem on Thursday, but throughout the season it’s going to be a bit of a hassle.
Leafs fan living large in the Pitt and pretending like the drought is over.
It would suck if I had a class on or after 4 pm…but I don’t.
It’s nice. I wake up and all the news is there because the east is already 3 hrs ahead if me.
Football at 10 kinda sucks. I mean, that’s not early for most people, but for a college kid…no matter, it’s still nice.
You also forgot to mention that West Coast hockey games don’t end at 1 am for me.
