Three years in a row? Hat trick of Hat tricks?

Haven't seen anyone else mention this yet, but Sidney Crosby has scored a hat trick on the same day of the same weekend 3 yrs in a row--Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. Nov 27th, 2010 (4-1 against Calgary) , Nov 28th 2009 (8-3 against Rangers), and Nov 29th 2008 (4-1 against the Devils--I was at that game). Does that constitute a hat trick of hat tricks? The Pens are just full of "traditions"--Crosby Hat Trick weekend, and Fleury Shut-out day (March 25th).

At least, that’s my guess. Japers’ Rink has one off topic open thread (a Chatty Cathy) a day, but PPP sometimes has four!!! Each has like 700 comments if not more. Duuude.

But, you have to admit, that it’s true. When Sid finally decides to make a relationship public (Caps/Flyers fan in the back shouts “…with Bettman!”; I turn around and roll my eyes), that girl will be scrutinized to no end. I mean, Sid’s high profile in Canada as it is, I can only imagine what will happen when he attaches a girl to his name.
If you think about it, it really will have a lot to do with the Pens and hockey in general because I don’t think it’ll be something that just gets pushed under the rug…you know, like “oh, Crosby’s got a gf/fiancee…whatever.”

Then again, I’m the one who reads all the gossip mags (don’t judge). I probably think it’ll be a bigger deal because I’ll more than likely end up reading about it. I doubt you, or any of the guys on this site ,pay any attention to the gossip. So, to y’all, it won’t be much of anything.
It might really affect Sid, though. He’s handled the pressure of big game situations throughout his career, yet he’s never had his personal life scrutinized. It’ll be an interesting situation for sure.

That was never a question, for me at least.
Whether or not she’s “classy” or not (can’t think of more suitable way to put it), the media attention is going to take another angle that he’s not used to—an angle other than hockey. That’s what could end up being a new distraction, as it’s something that he’s never faced before.

well there’s not exactly much to write about Sid’s personal life, but he’s definitely more famous/popular than William, and there’s not as much hulaballoo going on over here regarding the wedding (especially considering that she’ll likely be our next queen). If there’s one thing that I would hate being on here, it’s gossip but this was actually pretty much taken as a fact because it was a part of an investigation….

Well, since (probably) less than 10% of the population is, he’s probably not, but nobody can convince me that there are zero gay professional athletes. They’ve got a lot to lose, after all, so they hide it. As long as they feel compelled to hide it, we never really do know.

I agree with everything you’re saying, but I’m not trying to argue that there are no gay athletes…I’m sure there are lots; probably more than any of us realize, which is quite sad, in my opinion.
When I was on Tumblr, whenever someone followed me, I would return the favor. Some of my new followers would post pictures of him, with girls. It was nothing scandalous, but it was pretty obvious that they were more than friends.
That’s why I say I’m fairly certain he’s not gay.
Those pictures are also one of the reasons why I switched to blogspot.

They pronounce the organization, while placing an emphasis on the first “i.” So, instead of saying it like “ehh” they say “I.”
I always thought that was cool. Lindas1st was kinda poking fun at that, hence the “organ-I-zation.”
