Penguins forward Mike Comrie underwent successful hip surgery and is expected to be sidelined for three-four months. The surgery was performed in Vail, Colorado by Dr. Marc Philippon.

Comrie had been in-and-out of the lineup since suffering the hip injury on Oct. 9 during the second game of the season against the Montreal Canadiens. He has missed the past 15 games due to the injury and was placed on injured reserve Dec. 10.
