Staal was held and couldn't finish on this overtime chance. The Pens also couldn't cash in on the resulting power play, leading to a shootout loss and another missed opportunity to catch the Devils for the lead in the Atlantic. This view from C2 Row C.

How this wasn’t ruled a penalty shot is still beyond me.

I agree, that’s the call we were all waiting for.

I didn’t get too many good pics in this game, but this one isn’t bad. Go Tanger!

Was this when they were on the PP in OT?
And you know what this pic really reveals? Something we’ve likely mentioned to the point of insanity – no one, NO ONE, is in front of the net. Sure, Malkin is close, but where is the traffic in front of Ellis? As it clearly shows, he has a great look at that shot and, therefore, we also have a great job of smothering the puck or redirecting a rebound attempt. Even if Tanger shoots low and Ellis has to kick it away, the Predators defense is, to use a basketball term, boxing out the Pens.
So upsetting…

This was with a little over 5 minutes to go in the 3rd.
You are so right. It’s like the waves have parted, now let’s see if Letang can beat Ellis with an unscreened long shot from a bad angle.
