Help for Haiti recap
Although Sunday's game against the Capitals might not have gone quite as we would all have liked, we did succeed in raising a good deal of money to support disaster victims in Haiti. We accumulated a total of 1,129 comments throughout the game; at five cents each that makes $56.45. Hooks Orpik generously offered to match this amount making for a total of $112.90 raised to help the Red Cross relief efforts! A big thanks to all of you here at PensBurgh who turned out in support of this effort and also to those folks from over at Japers' Rink who stopped by to pump up the noise and/or share their favourite types of cheese and/or dinosaurs. You've all helped make a difference for those in need!

And for those doing the saves approach like me, Fleury made 29 saves, good for $2.90. Of course I’m rounding everything up from now till the Oly break, so $3.00 isn’t bad for just one game.
Thanks to everyone for helping out, including all of our (gulp) fuh-rends? at Japers’ Rink.

I didn’t make it due to network/router problems, but congrats to everyone and good work Olen. Let me know how much I need to match.

I imagine the turnout would’ve been better if a lot of Pittsburghers(like me) actually had internet access. Two feet of snow knocked out my phones, TV, and internet. I imagine the same or worse os true for many others around here.
Hooks and Olen (and everyone else involved) – thanks for putting this on. A lot of people talk the talk, but y’all are walking the walk. Kudos.
